Georeferencer for Leiden University
Gepubliceerd: August 28, 2015At Leiden University, over 300 hand-drawn manuscript maps from the collection of Van Keulen have been georeferenced in the new pilot. The maps were drawn between 1704-1755.
After more than 300 years, it was pretty tricky to place the control points, as nearly all places used different names, and in some places, the landscape shape was also changed significantly.
